WHAT TO EXPECT DURING YOUR FREE CONSULTATION

You will be welcomed into a stress-free office. Your wait time will be less than ten minutes. Your appointment will be with me as your attorney and not with a paralegal or legal assistant. Please be reassured that everything said during the appointment will be kept confidential. The documents you should provide are as follows:

 

1. Pay advices for the past two months
2. Your two most recent Federal and State Income Tax Returns
3. Your most recent creditor statements, or a list of your creditors and the approximate amount owed to each creditor
4. Any court pleadings involving you as a party of
5. Any other documents you believe are important. 

Should you decide to proceed with your bankruptcy case, some of the questions asked of you include providing: 

1. Your social security number
2. Your address
3. A description and value of all assets you own including depository accounts, vehicles, household goods, retirement funds, collectibles, claims against third parties, monthly income from all sources, monthly living expenses (rent, utilities, food, auto payments, insurance, child care, child support, medical expenses)
4. Income for the previous two years
5. Tax refunds received from the previous two years, 
6. Any other income for the previous two years (lottery winnings, proceeds from settled personal injury cases, social security benefits, child support, inheritances)
7. All addresses you have resided at during the previous three years. The above list is not all inclusive. You are of course always welcome to contact me should you have questions or concerns.
